The Department of Mathematics, Regional College was introduced in the year 1997 with the permission granted by Manipur University providing the programme duration of three-years offering undergraduate (B.A. and B.Sc.). Currently, it offers four-year BA and BSc programme following the semester system of NEP. The key aspect of this course is to impart knowledge, understanding, applications and skills. The vision of this department is to enable the students to acquire indebt knowledge of Mathematical concept in problem solving, logical thinking, time management etc.

Mathematics is often considered as one of the most challenging subjects in school.  There is no better subject for fostering logical thinking than maths. Maths forces student to slow down, analyse a problem, and devise a logical solution. Regional College provides an indebt knowledge of the subject through teaching and learning process. Through this process, intellectual faculties devoted their time in teaching the subject with full co-operation.
