Grievance & Redressal Cell

At Regional College, fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of the college community is a top priority. On 1st  October, 2022, the Grievance and Redressal Cell was established to serve as an authority for more effective support, engagement, resolution of unwanted issues, and assistance for the college’s staff and students.

Objectives:

  1. To conduct accountable, fair and impartial investigations into all submitted grievances/issues.
  2. To implement effective and timely solutions to resolve issues and restore harmonious relations among the college community.
  3. To encourage open communication and understanding between the college community and administration.

Functions:

  1. As a pivotal authority, the Cell paves the way for the college communities to redress their problems and issues.
  2. The cell offers convenient online and offline channels for submitting grievances, accessible to all members of the college community—students, teaching and non-teaching staff, and other associates.
  3. The cell conducts analysis and assessment of grievances and issues. Each complaint or issue is timely analyzed by the cell, ensuring fair consideration and understanding of the issue.
  4. The cell initiates intervention, coordination, and resolution of any grievances. The cell facilitates open communication and dialogue between the aggrieved parties involved to reach mutually acceptable resolutions. The cell also prioritize coordinating with the college communities to redress grievances and issues.

Reporting Grievances/Issues

  1. The aggrieved person(s) must file a complaint with the Grievances and Redressal Cell in order for it to review it and begin any proceedings.
  2. Students and staff can also contact the designated cell in-charges about their grievances and issues.
  3. Students and staff can also submit their grievances and issues through teachers of their respective departments, and directly to the Principal.
  4. Only those who are physically or mentally incapable of filing a complaint may report the complaint with the help of friends, family, co-workers and fellow students.
  5. No later than three months from the date of the alleged incident, complaints must be submitted in writing or by filling the Online Grievance/Complaint Form.
  6. The students and staff can also submit their grievances through the email address of the cell : grievanceredressal.regionalcol@gmail.com
  7. The filed complaints must be unambiguous and contain information about the incident or incidents, facts supporting the claims, relevant documents, and the names of the parties involved and contact information of any witnesses if any.
  8. Aggrieved Students and staff are kept informed of the progress and outcome of their grievance throughout the process.

The Grievance and Redressal Cell at Regional College might not entertain:

  1. Decisions of the Governing body and Administrative authority of the college regarding Service and Misconduct
  2. Any issue requiring legal intervention or involving ongoing criminal or civil proceedings. These should be handled by external legal authorities.
  3. Complaints deemed factually inaccurate, unsubstantiated, or motivated by personal vendettas or bias.
  4. Repeated complaints on the same issue without providing new/relevant evidence or justification.
